The club was originally formed in 1989 as the Northumberland AJS & Matchless Owners Club (AMC). Robin Watson had placed an ad in the local paper to which John Hunter, Ken Bates & Billy Bates responded. Just like that – the club had it’s founder members.
Meetings back then were at the Errington Arms on the Military Road. As the club grew it attracted owners of a wide variety of bikes, both British and foreign.
A re-think in the year 2000 saw some of the AMC members relocating to re-form their section and those remaining adopted our current title of ‘TVCMC’. Although membership has grown considerably, a couple of our founder members are still with us – Robin Watson is still an active committee member and now organises our annual club show.
David has pre-booked places, as the site is small. E-mail David to book a pitch for your tent.
